Westminster High School Students Attend Northern Colorado “Construction Con” Career Event

Westminster High School students in the Construction Technology and Engine Technology Pathways had the opportunity to attend the Northern Colorado Construction Sector Partnership’s annual “Construction Con” on Wednesday, October 15th, at The Ranch Events Complex in Loveland.

This immersive, hands-on career exploration event brought together hundreds of high school students from across Northern Colorado to engage directly with professionals representing the full spectrum of the construction industry — from carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC trades to engineering, architecture, and construction management.

Students participated in interactive demonstrations, explored apprenticeship and college training options, and made valuable connections with industry professionals eager to help develop Colorado’s next generation of builders and innovators.

Events like Construction Con align perfectly with Westminster Public Schools’ vision for Career and Technical Education (CTE) — providing authentic, real-world learning experiences that prepare students for high-wage, high-demand careers.

Thank you to the Northern Colorado Construction Sector Partnership and participating industry partners for hosting such a valuable event, and to Westminster High School staff for helping organize this incredible learning opportunity for our students.
