Master the fundamental management and culinary skills needed in all aspects of the restaurant, food service, and hospitality industries. Gain industry-recognized credentials and employability skills of leadership, accountability, and teamwork!

Industry Credential(s) / Advanced Credit

  • Students can earn their ProStart Certificate of Achievement, Certification of Completion for ProStart 1 and ProStart 2, as well as their ServSafe Handler and Manager industry credentials(s).
  • Students can also earn college credit through Metropolitan State University:
    • ProStart 1 - RST 1550 (Food Fundamentals)
    • ProStart 2 - RST 2550 (Food Preparation and Science) 

FACS Student Organization - FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America)  

  • All students in Catering and ProStart classes have the opportunity to join FCCLA.  Student organizations help students provide training and realistic learning experiences to prepare students for career employment, develop leadership skills, and more.  If you are interested, ask Mr. Hill how you can be involved.

There are multiple ways you and your organization can ensure the success of our CTE programs and students continue. Contact Lottie Wilson via email to learn more or click Ed Foundation Donation Link to donate to support CTE through our WPS Education Foundation.  You can specify the program and/or activity you wish to support under the "Special Instructions or Comments for Non-Profit" box.  

Note: The ProStart course is now offered to Hidden Lake and Westminster High School students on the Hidden Lake campus.
