The medical field and health care industry in Colorado is an ever-changing landscape that is in constant need of new employees with fresh ideas about how to solve some of the most important problems that humanity faces. Students in the Biotechnology and Biosciences Manufacturing pathway can be a part of this exciting industry by learning some of the most fundamental knowledge and skills used in the biosciences to solve some of these challenges, while also working on collaborative projects (such as DNA fingerprinting, medical device design, forensic investigation, genetic engineering, and medical disease diagnosis and treatment) with other students, staff, and industry partners from around Colorado...and beyond!

Industry Credentials |  Advanced Credit

  • Students are eligible to take the Biotechnician Assistant Credentialing Exam (BACE), as well as earn concurrent enrollment credits.

Health Occupations - HOSA Future Health Professionals

  • All students in health occupations classes have the opportunity to join HOSA Future Health Professionals.  Student organizations help students provide training and realistic learning experiences to prepare students for employment in careers, develop leadership skills, and more.  The Benefits of HOSA: A few benefits are attending conferences, meeting students who have similar career goals as you, scholarship opportunities, and understanding key elements of professionalism, leadership roles, and their importance. HOSA looks good and makes your resume and college application attractive.  If you are interested, ask Mr. Troy how you can be involved.
